Eric joined Howden in 2018 as President, Howden Africa. He is responsible for leading the development of Howden’s global renewable Hydrogen strategy, as well as other key growth markets regionally, such as mining. Eric is responsible for leading the development of renewable Hydrogen globally, as well as other key growth markets regionally, such as mining. This includes developing new routes to market across Africa, better aligning business capabilities with customer needs, implementing key account management and targeted partnering, and expanding product portfolio and localisation initiatives to drive customer value.

Eric has held a number of senior management and leadership roles in a career spanning over thirty years. He has worked for businesses in South Africa and Europe, including: Dorbyl; ABSA Bank; HSBC and Group Five.
 
A Civil Engineer by trade, Eric’s specialisms also include industrial sales and marketing, project financing, infrastructure project development, EPC construction, corporate restructurings and M&A. He passionately believes that renewable hydrogen has the potential to transform Howden’s global product offering and generate significant opportunities for our customers and key stakeholders.

Eric holds a BSC in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, as well as an Executive Development Diploma in Management and Innovation from Harvard Business School.
