The Howden reciprocating compressor series "C" and "P" present a comprehensive range of volumes and pressures, the Thomassen "C" series of Howden are one of the largest compressors in the World, with compressors installed with 17MW of power the are heavy duty and high power units. Where processes involve a lower capacities we have our "Burton Corblin P" series, the fully integrated package we supply can incorporate control systems, regulation equipment and any other additional modules and utility packages required by the circumstances. The "P" Series are delivered ready for installation and start-up.
Our unique Free Floating Piston (FFP) uses a cushion of process gas to support the piston, eliminating rider ring wear and greatly extending intervals between maintenance. Thus making it "the solution" for all none lubricated processes, non lube reciprocating compressors can operate now more than 50.000 and even 100.000 hours on the same rider rings!
We are the supplier of heavy duty reciprocating compressors, we have more than 2 dozen references of Reciprocating AP1618 Compressors with more than 13MW of power. Howden has the knowledge and expertise to handle and harness these powers in our compressors.
Skid-mounted units can be supplied with all ancillary and control equipment in place, pre-tested and ready for fast, simple integration on-site.

The first Thomassen C-85 reciprocating compressor with eight cylinders and a capacity of 16.6 MW was delivered within the challenging one-year deadline. The scale of the compression system is unprecedented. The six compressors together are responsible for compressing hydrogen for virtually all of the hydrogen suppliers and consumers within the refinery.
Our lifelong aftercare service will supply original replacement parts, support you with maintenance and installation, and even train your own engineers in maintenance techniques. We keep detailed plant records almost indefinitely, and regularly supply spare parts for machinery over 50 years old.
