Howden has secured a steam turbine order for a waste incineration plant in Taiwan.

Yu Feng Environmental Technology Co.,Ltd, a waste treatment company, play a vital role in environmental protection and pollution prevention and were looking for a sustainable product as part of the set up to establish the plant and power generation successfully. Yu Feng Environmental Technology Co Ltd uses treatment technology to convert waste into solid renewable fuels.

Within Yu Feng Environmental Technology Co.,Ltd plant, the high-temperature waste gas produced by waste incineration is cooled by the internal equipment of the boiler (superheater, economizer), and the heat energy is recovered to generate steam.

Howden provided a full advisory and consultation during the plant design and provided installation suggestions to provide our customers with the lowest possible lifetime costs, a product that meets their objectives and peace of mind.

With the team of ventilation engineers that understood the grid connection with Taipower (Taiwan government power plant) and the relevant procedure for self-use power generation applications, Howden experts were able to support with product selection (Base AFA 4 Turbine) and will provide ongoing product support once installation is complete.

Combining our commitment to sustainability, expertise and technology enabled the Howden team to provide the best solution to optimise plant performance for Yu Feng Environmental Technology Co.,Ltd.
