International Women in Engineering Day (#INWED20) takes place on 23rd June this year.

#INWED20 is an international awareness campaign which raises the profile of women in engineering and focuses attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry. Women (and men) all over the globe can help to raise the profile of women engineers and encourage more people to consider engineering as a profession for all.

#INWED20 is now in its seventh year, with the 2020 campaign being very different to what we are used to. For this occasion we would typically ask local schools to attend an onsite event and visit our factory. As we haven’t been able to do that this year, we have created a virtual conference instead. This has its advantages, as we can now host more participants during our virtual event. Register for the event

Why celebrate with us?

This event is aimed at young females in secondary school who would like to learn more about STEM careers. There will be presentations from Howden engineers, technology demos and an opportunity for participants to ask questions. To make it more engaging, we have set an engineering waste water project! Winners and prizes will be announced during the call.
