​Ventilation and compression solutions for the fertilzer industry

In sulfur acid plants, turbo compressors provide combustion air for sulfur burning. Preheat systems fans are used for acid regeneration. 

In ammonia plant centrifugal compressors are used in air separation units. Exhaust fans evacuate residual gases from reactors and capacities. Periflow compressors integrate CO2 gas drying process for transport and reinjection cavities or in oil wells.

In urea plant, turbo compressors provide atomising air for the fluidised bed, lobe blowers are used for product conveying, and CO2 centrifugal compressors are part of the production process.  In acid nitric plant, lobe blowers are used for Granulate Conveying and centrifugal compressor for nitrous gas compression.

Fans can be supplied to be gas tight and made of special materials to resist corrosion. Howden fans extract residual gas in process capacities; provide air to the process, ensure ventilation - aeration in buildings, and rooms’ pressurization. Cooling fans are used in HVAC and for refrigeration applications. Fans are selected to ensure reliable ventilation in crisis situation.

Our blowers integrate waste water treatment units. Turbo fans and blowers operate in Mechanical Vapour Recovery systems. Reciprocating compressor technologies pressurize air and nitrogen networks

Our compressors collect and transfer waste gases to flaring or treatment units.

    Treating contaminants such are petroleum hydrocarbons, ammonia, and organic sulfur. For mechanical system or diffused aeration system, air supply is needed into the diffuser. Howden supplies air blowers for the application.

    Instead of letting down high-pressure steam exhaust across a throttling valve, low-pressure waste steam can be mechanically compressed or boosted to a higher pressure so that it can be reused. Vapor recompression involves incorporating a blower to increase the temperature of the latent heat in steam to render it usable for process duties.
