Howden is committed to conducting its business with the highest ethical standards.

Howden regards the protection of the environment and the health, safety and wellbeing of our associates as being important to our business. We are committed, as a minimum, to work within the legal framework of the territories in which we operate and do so through the application of EHS management systems.

This commitment is fully supported by the senior leadership team and local management teams throughout the group.

These standards have been defined in the Colfax and the Howden Code of Conduct for Business Partners which can each be downloaded below.

Committed to closing the gender pay gap

The engineering sector is generally male dominated with the industry suffering due to low numbers of women studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects and men continuing to dominate undergraduate degrees in engineering & technology.

At Howden we are proud to be involved in a number of initiatives to try to increase the represenation of women at all levels of our business. This includes working with local schools to encourage female students to consider engineering as a career.

You can read more in this topic in our Howden Compressors Gender Pay Report, and you can learn about some of our inspirational female associates by clicking on our International Women's Day post.
