Oil Free Screw Compressors
Howden oil free screw compressors are used in applications that demand zero contamination of the gas being compressed. Our specialised sealing systems isolate the gas being handled from the compressor's oil system by various combinations of shaft seals. As there is no lubricating film present between the rotor surfaces, timing gears (external to the main pressure casing) are fitted to synchronise the rotors to prevent them touching each other. These features result in completely oil free gas delivery.
