Centrifugal Fans - Layout
Howden supplies a wide range of casing and support options for its centrifugal fans to accommodate the needs of the plant designer.
Fans can be supplied as single inlet, or double inlet. A double inlet impeller consists of two single inlet impellers, manufactured as a single fabrication, back-to-back on the same shaft.
Fan inlets can be configured as open, (sucking directly from the surroundings), be attached directly to an inlet duct, or be fitted with a right angle box inlet.
The inlet boxes can be arranged at various angles through 360o. The discharge duct can also be arranged through 360o to suit the general arrangement of the plant. Custom engineered fans can have the inlet and outlet arranged at any angle, whereas pre-engineered fans provide options at a number of predetermined angles.
Fans can be arranged to be mounted directly on a concrete foundation, on a steel base frame, or together with the drive motor or turbine on a set of anti-vibration mounts.
