Howden wins Scottish Engineering award

Howden was presented with the Scottish Engineering Award for 2009 at Scottish Engineering’s annual dinner and awards ceremony on May 21st 2009.

The prize is presented to the manufacturing engineering company working in Scotland which demonstrates that it has “made a significant contribution towards raising the standards of the engineering sector and has been shown to be an appropriate standard bearer for the sector”.
 
Dr. Peter Hughes, Chief Executive of Scottish Engineering, presented the award to Bob Cleland, Howden Chief Executive, highlighting our strong growth through 2008, and our ongoing strategic and business development initiatives which have driven dramatic revenue growth over the last five years, and which continue to develop the business in difficult market conditions.
