Howden Compressors sponsors the IMechE International Compressor Conference in London

Howden Compressors (HCL) is a main sponsor of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers’ International Conference on Compressors and Their Systems, which takes place in London from 7th to 9th September 2009. HCL will also be taking part in the associated exhibition, and members of our engineering team will be presenting technical papers as well as chairing conference sessions.

This long-established international conference is regarded as the ultimate global forum for reviewing recent developments and new ideas in compressor research. The three-day programme is packed with high-quality technical papers from around the world.

Howden compressors and complete compressor packages are the product of more than 100 years of experience. They are used in the petroleum, petrochemical, refrigeration, fuel gas and other markets where performance and reliability are crucial. We designed and supplied the world’s first diaphragm compressor and were the first company to commercialise screw compressor technology. Building on this experience, Howden now offers screw, piston (reciprocating) and diaphragm process gas compressors, and highly efficient turbo-compressors capable of meeting the most demanding conditions. All of our compressors are supplied to API or equivalent industry standards.
