Colfax corporation acquires Howden

Colfax Corporation has acquired Charter International plc, the company that owns Howden.

Colfax Corporation is a global manufacturing business based in the US. Its goal is to build a leading international industrial company through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth. It considers Charter to be a leading player in key markets with an attractive business mix and strong technological capabilities that will fit well with Colfax.

 

Colfax believes that Howden will complement and extend Colfax’s existing fluid handling business, as both organisations focus on supplying a range of market leading products to applications where performance and reliability are paramount.  Our acquisition by Colfax, therefore gives us an excellent platform for the further growth and development of our activities, and our range of services to our clients.

Howden will continue to operate as a subsidiary of Colfax, as it did within Charter and your relationship with existing Howden companies will continue as before. We are confident that our being part of Colfax can only enhance the level of service you have had from us in the past.
