Covent Type C - Backward curved blower fans
Howden Covent Type C Fans. Fifteen rotor designs to cover the full market range of from very low through high flow vs. pressure at optimum efficiency. The low flow fans have parallel shrouds for stable performance and the wide fans have taper shrouds for high strength as well as stall free operation.

Key benefits
Covent fans are manufactured in our ISO 9001:2008 accredited factory where the in-house facilities include three balancing machines of different sizes, the largest capable of dealing with rotors up to 100,000 lbs in weight. This allows us to certify that each fan is precision-balanced before leaving the factory, and eliminates potential problems during installation and operation. We also carry out comprehensive performance and running tests using our in-house variable frequency drive test rig.

Standard features
C series fans have backward curved blades designed for reliable operation in heavy duty applications, and they offer the optimum combination of low noise and high efficiency for dusty gas environments.

Optional features
There are 15 different rotor designs available to cover every permutation of pressure and volume likely to be required, at temperatures of up to 427°C. The narrower fans at the lower flow end of the range are fitted with parallel shrouds to give greatest stability of performance, while the wider models have tapering, high-strength shrouds designed to prevent stall. Partial or full liners of abrasion-resistant steel, chromium or tungsten carbide can be fitted, and stainless steel liners are also available for scrubber applications.
