Select an Industry

Incineration is one method which is widely used for disposing of organic waste material. In some cases incineration is the preferred, or even mandatory, form of disposal however, all incinerators should be professionally installed with appropriate means of removing any particulate remnants which are contained in the exhaust gases.
Howden Africa supplies incinerators with emission control to international standards.

Waste incineration is primarily of benefit in the treatment of certain waste types where pathogens and toxins can be destroyed by high temperatures - for example in clinical waste disposal and other hazardous waste substances .

Incineration at such high temperatures (well in excess of 1100°C ) offers a reliable and cost-effective solution for heavy duty waste that cannot be recycled or recovered by other means.

Waste combustion is also particularly common in countries where land is a scarce resource as it is very effective at reducing the volume of the waste that requires to go to landfill.
