Oil Injected Screw Compressors
Howden oil injected twin screw compressors are used for process gas applications involving hydrocarbons, fuel, or other specialist applications as well as liquid chilling and direct refrigeration.
Applications
- refrigeration
- fuel gas compression
- gas liquefaction
- petrochemical and chemical processing
- natural gas gathering
- carbon dioxide recovery
- coke oven gas
- vapour recovery
- offshore flare gas (VOC)
- hydrocarbon processing
- process refrigeration
- flare gas recovery
- mine cooling
Features
- smooth capacity control
- capacity and energy absorbed match system demand
- variable volume ratio available
Benefits
- maximises energy efficiency
- reduces through life cost
- can take side stream above suction pressure
We have 2 major ranges of oil injected screw compressors:
The XRV range was developed specifically for the refrigeration market and offers the best possible energy conservation and ease of packaging. The maximum capacity is 1650m3/hr (950cfm) and the maximum discharge pressure is 21bar g (300psig)
The WRV range has a maximum capacity of 14,000m3/h and maximum discharge pressure of over 24bar. More than 20,000 WRV compressors are in service worldwide for a variety of applications in the refrigeration and process gas handling applications.
We have recently developed a new range of high pressure compressors with discharge pressures of up to 60barg that has particular application in fuel gas boost for aero-derivative gas turbines.
