Howden re-acquires controlling interest in Howden Compressors Limited

17 January 2007 - Howden has re-acquired from Carrier Corporation the remaining 51% shareholding in Howden Compressors Limited, and its affiliated sales company, that it had sold to Carrier in 1998.

Howden Compressors Limited, which is headquartered in Glasgow and employs around 110 people at its plant in Craigton, designs and manufactures high quality compressors for use in the refrigeration and oil & gas sectors worldwide.

This re-acquisition will allow Howden Compressors Ltd to refocus its future development in its key markets of Industrial Refrigeration and Process Gas Compression supported by the Howden structure dedicated to Air and Gas Handling.
