Howden Africa recognised in Sunday Times Top Companies.

Howden features prominently in the business section of the Sunday Times of South Africa, thanks to strong results posted by Howden Africa. 

The annual "Business Times Top 100 Companies" featured Howden in 3rd place for its performance over the last five years, with 4th place for Howden Africa's Return on Equity figures.
 
Chairman Bob Cleland commented "We are delighted that the order intake levels are above R1-billion for the first time since listing."
 
Thomas Barwald, CEO of Howden Africa, added "Despite the global conditions, not every industry has slowed down. Coal and gold mines continue to grow so we have focussed our efforts in these areas. We have also focussed on the after-market. Many of our machines are still in the field 30 to 40 years later and they are still working and need servicing."
