Glasgow Caledonian University awards honorary doctorate to Howden Chief Executive.
Howden Chief Executive Bob Cleland has been awarded an honorary Doctorate of Technology at the University's graduation ceremony.
Other notable recipients included politician Neil Kinnock who was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Letters in recognition of his outstanding contribution to politics and the promotion of international understanding along with Glasgow-born entrepreneur Azeem Ibrahim; Allan Alstead who is a former Chief Executive of SportScotland as well as chairman of Mercy Corps Europe; and Professor Ian Deary who received an Alumni Achievement Award. Principal and Vice-Chancellor Professor Pamela Gillies said "Glasgow Caledonian University is delighted to welcome these civic minded citizens into our distinguished family of honorary graduates. Each has a remarkable record of achievement in business and public life, and they are an inspiration for our students and graduates."
