Howden recognised at Glasgow Business Awards
Howden Chief Executive Bob Cleland attended the annual Lord Provost’s Awards Ceremony in the Glasgow City Chambers on Friday, June 4 where Glasgow’s Lord Provost Bob Winter hosted a civic dinner, and recognised the work of local people.
The Business Award was presented to Bob Cleland, and the Lord Provost spoke of the importance of engineering to the city of the Glasgow, Howden's positive business development activity in the area, and the contribution Howden Academy makes. Mr Winter said “Howden has won many awards, most recently a prestigious hat-trick comprising: Bank of Scotland Best Business; Glasgow Business Award for Best Performing Business; and Glasgow Business Award for Excellence in Skills and Learning.”
Awards went to Mohammed Sarwar, David Maclennan of the 7:84 Theatre Company, Frank Clement, race director for The Great Scottish Run and Ian Graham, Principal of John Wheatley College amongst others.
