CVRD’s São Luis plant in Brazil
In 2002 Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (CVRD) established its twelfth iron ore pelletising plant in the city of São Luis, Maranhão State, in the northeast region of Brazil.
The initial production expected was about 6 million tons/year of pellet. Today with output more than 7,5 million tons/year, the CVRD – São Luis plant is considered the biggest pellet plant line in the world.
Howden South America supplied all the process fans for this plant. These are the largest manufactured fans HSA has manufactured.
