Element Profiles

With a range of over 45 individual profiles, we supply direct replacements for all element types commonly used in regenerative air preheaters and gas-gas heaters. Not only those supplied by Howden but also those by any other manufacturer of rotary matrix or stationary matrix regenerative heat exchangers.

The choice of heating element is vital to ensure that the optimum combination of heat transfer and pressure drop are achieved.

Our expertise is available to recommend alternative profiles or arrangements, which can improve the performance of the regenerative heat exchanger, particularly if the operating conditions have been changed since the original elements were specified.

Our elements range from those with simple "open" profiles which have a lower tendency for fouling but correspondingly lower heat transfer properties to more complex profiles which are more compact and induce turbulence in the gas flow to improve heat transfer.
