Route Instructions
To Howden Process Compressors in Renfrew and In Chesterfield
Renfrew is on the south bank of the river Clyde some 5 miles downstream from Glasgow.
By air
From Glasgow Airport
Our offices are 4 miles by road from Glasgow airport. It is a short taxi ride at most times but heavy traffic can extend journey time.
From Prestwick Airport
Prestwick Airport is nearly 30 miles from Renfrew.
By car take the M77 and turn off at Junction 1 and follow signs for Clyde tunnel. After 2 miles take M8 westwards towards Greenock/Glasgow airport for short distance.
There is a rail station at the airport with connections to Glasgow Central station every half hour.
From Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh airport is 45 miles away. The M8 motorway is the road to take.
By car
Travelling from the east (Glasgow and Edinburgh)
Take the M8 motorway and, after you pass the Clyde tunnel junction, take the slip road at junction 25A signed "Braehead".
Pass under the motorway and after quarter mile take the first exit at the first roundabout.
At the second roundabout (150 yards) carry straight on (second exit).
The Howden offices are 400yards along the road on the right at the end of the straight section.
Travelling from the west (Glasgow airport and Greenock)
take the M8 motorway and take the slip road at junction 26 signed Braehead.
Turn left and taking centre lane continue for 150 yards
At the roundabout take the second exit and continue straight on for 500 yards.
At next roundabout turn left.
The Howden offices are 400yards along the road on the right at the end of the straight section.
By rail
There are no rail stations conveniently close to our offices but, traffic permitting, both main Glasgow stations (Central and Queen Street) are within an easy taxi ride.
Chesterfield - the Howden Process Compressors' offices and workshop is 5 miles to the south east of the town centre.
By air
Nearest airport is East Midlands 30 miles to the south.
By car
From the M1
Exit at Junction 29 on the A6175
After 1 mile turn right into Holmewood Industrial Park (Park Road).
Howden is in a large red building on the right a quarter mile along the road.
From Chesterfield
Take the A 617 and take the slip road to the left at the junction of the B6425.
Turn right on the B6425
Carry until the B6039 junction and turn left.
After 1 mile turn left into Holmewood Industrial Park (Park Road)
Howden is in a large red building on the left a half mile along the road.
