Howden France History

1900    Berry S.A. is formed in Lille and produces industrial fans for various applications in markets 
           such as mining, textiles, tunnels and energy. Products are sold in North America, 
           Mediterranean countries, Eastern  and Southern  Europe.
 
1970    Berry S.A. decides to develop 3 new markets : steel, cement and petrochemical
 
1979    Davidson acquires Berry S.A.

1987    Berry Davidson associates with Neu and becomes Berry Neu Turbomachines. The range of 
           products grows with the addition of the Rotorique fan and blowers.

1988    The Howden group takes control of Berry Neu Turbomachines, which is then  renamed Howden 
           Sirocco SA.  The emphasis is mainly on cement, steel and petrochemical markets.

1996    Howden Sirocco SA acquires CLIMA NEU TUNNEL, specialised in tunnel  ventilation

1998    The Howden Group announces that the company has been acquired by Charter plc.

2006    As globalisation increasingly influences its business, Howden realigns its structure  to ensure 
           it continues to meet the needs of its clients. 
 
2006    Howden Sirocco becomes Howden France.


Howden Forced Draught System
