Howden Denmark History

1947    Nordisk Ventilator Co. A/S is founded in Naestved, Denmark. Later, Nordisk changes its name to Novenco 
           A/S 

1951    The first Variax fan is installed in a power station

1993    The Variax division of Novenco is acquired by Howden Group plc

1998    Howden Variax A/S becomes the Howden Centre of Excellence for axial flow fans

2000    Howden Variax A/S changes its name to Howden Power A/S

2002    The Naestved site focuses on research, development, sales, engineering, and project management. 
           Production is transferred to Howden facilities in Northern Ireland and China

2006    Howden Denmark A/S becomes the new company name
