Route Instructions

To Howden Compressors, Glasgow

The Howden Compressors' factory is located next to the M8 motorway, some 3 miles west south west of Glasgow city centre.

By air
From Glasgow Airport
Our factory is 7 miles by road from Glasgow airport. It is a fairly short taxi ride at most times but heavy traffic can extend journey time. 

From Prestwick Airport
Prestwick Airport is nearly 30 miles to the south of Glasgow. 
There is a rail station at the airport with connections to Glasgow Central station every half hour.

From Edinburgh Airport
Edinburgh airport is 45 miles away. The M8 motorway, which is the main route between Edinburgh and Glasgow, passes close to both the airport and our premises.

By car
Travelling from the east (Glasgow and Edinburgh)
Take the M8 motorway and exit at junction 24. Turn left and after 100 yards turn right at the roundabout into Paisley Road West.  After 200 yards turn right at traffic lights into Jura Street.  Follow the road round for half mile into Barfillan Drive. Our factory is on the right. 
  
Travelling from the west (Glasgow airport and Greenock)
Take the M8 motorway and exit at junction 24. Turn right and after 200 yards turn right at the roundabout into Paisley Road West. After 200 yards turn right at traffic lights into Jura Street.  Follow the road round for half mile into Barfillan Drive. Our factory is on the right. 

Travelling from the south (Prestwick airport)
Take the M77 and turn off at Junction 1. Turn left along the B768 and after three quarters mile turn left along the A761. After quarter mile there is a roundabout - keep straight on for 200 yards and then turn right at the traffic lights into Jura Street. Follow the road round for half mile into Barfillan Drive. Our factory is on the right. 

By rail
The nearest main line rail stations are Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street. Both are within an easy taxi ride.
