Howden Compressors, LLC. supplies Howden-designed bare shaft rotary twin screw compressors for a variety of demanding gas compression and refrigeration duties to packagers in North America.
Our specialised expertise allied with the local knowledge of the packagers enables strong support to be provided to customers. We serve the refrigeration and process gas handling markets, as well as supplying units for boosting the pressure of fuel for gas turbines and for a variety of other applications. In total Howden has supplied 25,000 screw compressor units worldwide.
Having taken the first ever licence for screw compressor technology from Svenska Rotor Maskiner in 1939, Howden pioneered the commercialisation of the screw compressor technology and remains in the forefront of its development.
