Case Study: In 1996 Howden modified air preheaters at Ensted Power Station to accept new gas conditions imposed by the retrofit of an SCR plant. New elements, cleaning lances and sealing systems have resulted in the plant operating successfully.

These include full-size and scale-model aerodynamic testing of fans and blowers; stress, acoustic and vibration measurement; and on-site performance testing of equipment.

Our total package includes project management, manufacture, supply, equipment servicing, solution engineering and site management services, as appropriate.

Howden Launch Training Academy

Howden has partnered with Glasgow Caledonian University to create Howden Academy – a new international post graduate programme based at the university which will deliver specialist operational training to hundreds of Howden’s engineering graduates from 16 countries over the next few years.
