Bob Cleland was appointed Chief Executive of Howden in 1999. He was previously Group Operations Director on the board of Triplex Lloyd plc and prior to that was an Executive of British Steel Stainless, now AvestaPolarit. He was appointed Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Howden Africa Holdings Limited board on 1 August 2006.

James Brown, after qualifying as a chartered accountant, joined British Aerospace. In 1989 he joined the Howden Group. He has served as finance director in a number of operating companies in the Howden Group in the UK. In 2003 he was appointed as Group Financial Director of Howden Group Limited. He was appointed Non-Executive Director of the Howden Africa Holdings Limited board on 1 March 2005.

Shane Meyer joined the Group in 1977. In 1991, he was promoted to Group Financial Director of Howden Group South Africa Limited. He was appointed Financial Director of Howden Africa Holdings Limited upon its incorporation.

Arthur Mashiatshidi is Chief Executive of Decorum Capital Partners (Proprietary) Limited, a company that manages the New Africa Mining Fund. He serves as non executive director on the boards of various companies and institutions including: Thebe Investment Corporation (Proprietary) Limited, Thebe Risk Solution (Proprietary) Limited, Financial Markets Advisory Board, University of Cape Town (Graduate School of Business Advisory Board).

Morongwe Malebye is a qualified engineer. She has graduated with an M.Sc Industrial Engineering and B.Sc Mechanical Engineering degrees,and in addition has completed an MBA. She has worked at Eskom,Sasol, Spoornet, Armscor and Babcock Africa. She serves on the board of African Oxygen Limited (Afrox) and is a mentor for the Allan Gray Foundation.
