Due to rapid worldwide growth, we need to recruit a significant number of engineers over the next five years.
In the past, new engineers have been trained largely “on the job” by colleagues and supervisors. However, the rapid recruitment of large numbers of new engineers requires a different approach to training. Business units need to bring their new engineers up to speed as quickly as possible, with minimum disruption to everyday business. This was the motivation for the development of Howden Academy. It allows us to focus, without distraction, on providing product and application training to our engineers.
